The Chestnut Tree

The first sad signs of a seasonal change are appearing- the first autumn tones have appeared. The chestnuts are ripening and the first fell last week but probably knocked off by a passing van.

When the time is right the squirrels will appear and make off with as many as they can. Is it true that they cannot always remember where they hide them.

Have started yesterday's book but wonder when I will finish reading it- fortunately the last few hundred pages or so are notes and bibliography.
