Hidden river

This is the brook that runs at the bottom of our garden. Since the Environment Agency took over the maintenance of the banks they are hardly ever cut. Unfortunately the build up of vegetation impedes the water and results in near flooding incidents upstream.
A little further down there were quite nice sized fish swimming around in a clear patch either side of the flow metering flume.
May have to return with my telescopic rod and a dry fly…..
