Everyday I Write The Book

Down the pub with Henry

I took K to the airport at 6.30 this morning as she was off to Helsinki. I said there were a surprising number of Finns on Blipfoto. She said she would keep an eye out for me.

I got back and we had an 8.30am visit from a surveyor. She wandered around, seemed vaguely disinterested and only asked two questions.

It rained lots today and there were times when I wasn’t really enjoying being on the terrace at the bottom of the garden. It wasn’t wet, just a bit miserable, but Henry came and kept me company. I resisted the temptation to have a wee whiskey as I am on a five day alcohol free run so spent time polishing my halo instead.

Wading through the thousand questions that solicitors ask when you are buying and selling houses. It sometimes feels like a dominatrix style relationship where you give them lots of money and they flagellate you and are demanding in return.

For the record I have never paid for the services of a dominatrix.
