Hardy Harebells
Back to the River Findhorn for Nick’s third and last day of fishing on this river. Being warm and sunny it was not very good fishing weather but fortunately some of the pools were cast in the shadow of the steep valley side. In places along the river sandy beaches had formed from finely eroded granite and it was here that clumps of knapweed and harebells had managed to take root.
Sadly the fisherman was not successful but he did enjoy the challenge in beautiful surroundings. As always, Bertie and I enjoyed our walks, although it was a bit hot by mid afternoon and we retreated to the shade of the motorhome.
