Juvenile Goldfinch

We went into town this morning where we had breakfast. We then chatted to some friends over coffee, before returning home just as it started to rain.
 
Today’s picture is of a juvenile Goldfinch, which I almost mistook for a chaffinch. We have just started to see adult Goldfinches in the garden after a long time, but I think this is the first time I have ever seen a juvenile. Looking back to last year I can see that I blipped two Goldfinches on this day in 2024.
 
The temperature today – Eighteen degrees Celsius; mainly dry with some light rain showers.
