Room at the top

We decided to go up the Hoad , an iconic hill in Furness with the Hoad.monument on the top , shaped like a lighthouse, in memory of Sir John Barrow.

The weather forecast said sunny but it was quite overcast, but we stuck to the plan.
Robbie bounce up there . I realised half way up that it's been a while since we did steep uphill walks . With Fletch  in the last few months we did flat walks.
There are very convenient benches situated all the way up but we kept going. Good to get ourselves fitter .

We didn't stay too.long at the top as there was a cold wind ( good old British summer weather!)

We did pause half way down as the wind dropped and it was nice to sit and enjoy the view , with all the time in the world.

The sun came out for a while.so we sat outside the Base bistro for coffee and a pecan slice covered in thick dark chocolate.

A quick stop at the pets place to get another piece of fallow stag antler for Rob and M popped into Mountain Warehouse and bought a shirt and trousers., seduced by the good prices.
