Digging a Ditch

I was at my weights class and S got on with digging a ditch to sort out further water issues. He dug out compacted clay soil and lots of rubble that the builders put here way back in the late 50s.

This is the first section and he is on to part two soon but needs pipes and drain stuff.

It was v hot in the afternoon. He went paddleboarding and I armed myself with info regarding our virgin media account which has gone up to the ridiculous figure of 94 quid pm.

I did the on line chat on my computer and started off with the customer service guy who I knew wouldn’t give me the figure I wanted. He offered £64.99 and tried to say that when I joined which was donkeys years ago I would have got a good deal. Eh no. New customers are getting broadband, phone and tv for £34.99. Intd him I was not prepared to pay this hugely inflated and ridiculous amount so he asked if I wanted transferred through to cancellations. Yes.

Right away I was offered two Options. I took the second which was an increase to 362Mbps broadband , and same tv package and phone (which we don’t use but makes no difference to the price). For £36.99. Done. Felt quite pleased with myself and saving a fortune.

Sat outside with a cuppa and read book. Lovely salmon for the tea courtesy of the fish van (from Arbroath). Also got prawns and eggs. So handy , we get fish vans every day coming round but this guy is nice and always get him.

The gang are home tomorrow, these four days have flown by.
