Gracefield
Today I went to our local gallery Gracefield. It’s a gem and this exhibition focused on 1950s and 60s Glasgow as it underwent great change. Tenements were demolished and communities ripped apart, there were some amazing artists and photographers who captured these lost years.
This photo was taken by Oscar Marzaroli and a member of staff told us it was the inspiration behind the wee girl in the red coat in Schindler’s list. Don’t know if that’s true but it’s a beautiful capture.
Exhibition ofinishes at 5pm tomorrow.
