Deer at Woburn

I drove down to Milton Keynes this morning for a few nights break. A bit of a nightmare journey with rain all the 3 hr 15 min journey, about an hour and a half of it was torrential with lots of standing water and spray. Then there’s ongoing major changes to roads around Papworth and the Black Cat roundabout. So there was a diversion to new roads which meant I couldn’t stop where I normally do for a break. Then a 15 min holdup at the black cat roundabout. I was very glad to arrive, then I found that there was a problem with the tv aerial that they can’t fix until next week, but fortunately I can access bbc and itv on the tv via streaming. I met my friend L for a walk at 2 - it was raining! So we had a look at a couple of shops and headed for a hot chocolate at a hotel. We did manage to get a 1.5 hr walk in late afternoon in the Woburn deer park where I got a phone camera shot of the deer in a rare glimpse of sun which I edited in ArtCard. It was so lovely to catch up. It was cold on the drive over at only 15C, I feel sorry for the kids on their big summer break. I hear we’ve got a named storm to deal with early next week.
