Growing Up

This is the larger of My Girl's two male offspring from 2024. I don't know why the other one is so much smaller, unless, as could conceivably be the case, he was adopted after being orphaned and thus didn't get as much of his mother's milk as he should have gotten. But in any case - this one is getting closer and closer to being as tall as his mother and his first antlers are coming along nicely. His *brother* wasn't with him this afternoon, although his mother was. The littler brother will show up later by himself - at dusk - if things go as they usually do.

The weather today was heaven. SO much cooler. Cloudy with a little rain too, but mostly just blessedly cooler than the steady hot and humid we've had for over a month.
