Meeting
This afternoon, Mum and I went along to a meeting of the Uckfield U3A. Over 100 members turned up at the Civic Centre for a talk by the photographer Gillian Lloyd about African wildlife. I was especially impressed by a video showed of a giraffe giving birth. When the baby giraffe slithered out, it had a long way to fall, and then a difficult time standing up on its long wobbly legs.
U3A is such a fabulous organisation, with lots of groups catering to many different interests. I am thinking of joining our local branch.
I’m so glad that many of you are going to try the Greek Chickpea Stew recipe. Let me know what you think of it.
Our DVD tonight was “Notting Hill”, which Mum chose as she likes Hugh Grant. However, her verdict was that it didn’t have much of a plot. (She was asleep for most of it). DVDs are 5 for £1 in the charity shop..
