Pecking order- size counts

A surprise visitor this morning to the bird feeder is this greater spotted woodpecker.
And a right bossy boots he is.
He ousted the small birds then stuffed himself for over a minute- I was filming it- before standing on the ledge satisfied.
We haven’t seen him since last  winter.
