Museu do Amanhã
Up and out early this morning and breakfast of egg roll, orange juice and coffee at Stop Pontinho, up past our Wednesday food market way.
Then, after attempts on previous visits, we eventually got into the Museum do Amanha, in the centre. It was open, no long queues, no pouring rain and the icing on the cake was free entry as over-60s!
The Calatrava architecture, its surroundings and the exhibition all add up to an impressive visit. Many excellent state-of-the-art audio visual offerings, but our favourite was one of real dancing scarves, kept aloft and moving by air.
Lunch at Os Bar, still down in the centre, and our free museum entrance paid for our lunch!
We enjoyed a walk around the centre and the atmosphere of workers in their daily routine (usually too hot to enjoy this in December) and finally a beer stop on a terrace just down from the municipal theatre.
Now home and blipping. Perhaps some Yahtzee later on, locally.
A few more shots on as an extra.
