Art in Anacortes

I joined Stu and Judy on our annual trip to the Anacortes Art Festival. First we went to the Kiwanis Thrift Shop where my brother Dave was working. We hung out there until Dave’s shift as manager was over. Then we went to lunch at Gere-a-Deli and headed out to peruse the booths. As we walked I watched for this booth. Jason Napier is a wonderful creator of bronze statues of wildlife. I’ve known him and his wife Danielle since 1994 when he was just starting to make his wonderful sculptures. I bought one of his works of a cat descending some stairs and we struck up a friendship. Every year I touch base with them at the art festival. And I still love his work. This is a full size statue of a mother and baby bobcats.
