King’s Cross: Part II

We set off for the first train back to Edinburgh this morning - taxi at 4:30am - and arrived before the tube even opened.

We boarded the train, left on time, and then half way up the country, there was an announcement that the train would terminate at Newcastle.

Thankfully, diesel trains aren’t bothered about overhead power line failures, so a transfer at Newcastle to an LNER train meant we could carry on home.
