Blessed are the cheesmakers...

...Roy's new hat from the Courtyard Dairy near Settle...

I've arranged the hat above last week's silly blip in Settle - and you can see my new computer glasses too ;) 
Roy forgot his hat when we headed to the Marina, so needed to buy a new one. The sports shop in Settle only had expensive things suitable for the OMM, but when we called in for some cheese at the dairy, all of the staff were wearing these - and they were on sale too. Result! And just the job for Silly Saturday...


The quote is from Monty Python’s movie “Life of Brian” in which two characters hear Jesus give the Sermon on the Mount. Unfortunately they are too far back to hear properly.
When Jesus says “Blessed are the peacemakers” they mishear it as “cheesemakers.”
“What’s so special about cheesemakers,” they ask.
A nearby man explains: “Well, obviously it’s not meant to be taken literally; it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.”

I tried to put a link in to the scene in the Life of Brian, but I had to sign in to YouTube, which meant creating an account... not today, thanks...
