Musing of a Lady

Rains

Today has been busy, despite the sporadicly heavy rains. Little Man and I had an interrupted night, with Little Man waking up twice after I'd fallen asleep. So it was a challenge for both us of to crawl out of bed this morning.

Little Man's Nannie and Granddad called this morning. They wanted to chat with us before they left on their holiday. It was lovely being able to talk to them before they left.

Then Sanne, a friend who lives in Oudewater, came round for a cup of tea and a chat. Little Man was running around, playing and making a number of puddles (though he did use the potty to do a number two).

Within half an hour of Sanne leaving, my life group leader, Sanne, came round with her youngest son, Abel. She wanted to have a quick catch up in regards to our time away. Little Man began to spiral into tiredness, so there was a melt down.

We had a quiet afternoon. I put Little Man back into a nappy because I think the tiredness is effecting both of us, which would have likely ended up in frustration. As long we're making progress in the right direction, that's all that matters. My parents are arriving on Tuesday and I'm hoping that they'll be able to help me with this.

The food delivery arrived but there was an item missing, as it was sold out, so I'm going to have to go out to get that on Monday. I also had to send a loaf of bread back as it had been packed at the bottom of the crate and had gotten crushed by the heavier items placed on top of it.

It's rained heavily on and off today, which meant that we definitely stayed in doors all day. I also ended up putting the fire on this morning during the time Little Man was playing without a nappy on. I didn't want to make more laundry than I absolutely needed to.
