More shopping to stock up essentials such as beer and tinned tomatoes. We trundled into town to check out a cop that Rowan spotted (see extra) and visit the library. We ended up visiting the cemeteries at the Hallesche Tor which apparently have the largest number of graves of famous people including the Mendelssohn Bartholdy family, the Siemens family and E.T.A. Hoffmann. Somehow we ended up on a personal tour of the cemetery and learned up the bunker that the Nazis built where the Jewish graves used to be, the bloody end of the war, the modern and outrageous people who are buried there, and the market for stolen statues and signs.
