Another rainy day

It has rained all day! I also have felt a bit out of sorts today, I feel like I could be coming down with something or maybe I am just tired. For some reason I also kept thinking it was Monday!  It rained heavily all morning so Gavin went to Landquart as he wanted to buy something there, and I stayed at home. I watched the final episode of The couple next Door which I managed to watch on Channel 4 via a VPN link, thanks to those who suggested it. 

Later I took Xena out for a good walk, it was raining lightly but consistently. We walked up the valley and one has to be careful when stepping on the wet roots as they are so slippery. Gavin and I then met in the village for a light lunch, our waiter who is South African but has lived here for many years (and is fluent in Swiss German ) was saying that the wet summer has been so disappointing for them, they have only been able to sit guests outside on the terrace twice this summer. 

We picked up some groceries for supper before coming home. Later we took Xena for another walk but it was raining quite heavily so we cut it short.

Last night we watched My Oxford Year on Netflix. It's about an American girl called Anna who comes to Oxford to do a Masters. And meets a guy who is finishing off his PhD and they fall in love. Sound familiar? I told Adam and Anna to watch it! (Although it does not have the happy ending they will hopefully have)

Inca is currently hiking the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu in Peru - her photos of it look great! It's the less travelled route to Machu Picchu as the Inca Trail is so over popular now.
