Another full day's programming saw me implement code to identify a special kind of sub-problem in our main solver, and solve it with some code that I found. Unfortunately, the solver doesn't seem to generate any sub-problems of this type, and the developer of ours who said that he needed a solver for this kind of problem was confused. Hence, what I did will have to be binned, but it was a very interesting exercise.

From tomorrow, when the Fringe starts, eating out becomes less appealing since eateries are looking to cash in on the visiting patrons. After a pint at the Belfry, we were joined by daughter K at a Vietnamese restaurant across the road. The food was OK, but I don't think we'll return.
