Artichoke Oak Gall

Another never seen before moment today (actually there were at least two). I have known about Oak Apples, or wasp galls, since childhood, but I have never seen those for the Artichoke Gall Wasp. Guess how it got its name.......

My extra is also new to me, and a cracking name too. The Narrow-leaved Everlasting-pea is a sweet pea flower that we found along the Mawddach Estuary. Such a pretty colour.
