A Garden Collage

The Hydrangea are just starting to bloom; the Day Lilies are still putting on a show and I have a wild Mullein growing by the garden. (Mulleins are known for their medicinal value for lung ills.  It is a biennial so the bloom will happen next year. My grandpa called them lamb's ears for their shape and fuzzy quality.)  Things are in desperate need of John's care, but it will be at least another two weeks before he can return.  So, I have a new young helper for the garden coming this morning.  She is only 14 but very willing.  Hopefully we can clean things up a bit before my house guest arrives on Wednesday.  She will not be seeing the garden at its finest I'm afraid.  Temperatures will be heating back up again and no rain in sight.
