Green and colourful Copacabana
I had coffee in Caffeina in the morning, with a delicious little pao de queijo. It’s one of my favourite local coffee places, but this was my first time in this visit.
Lovely sunny day, clear blue skies, cooler in the shade. We then walked around our barrio a bit, exploring bits of Rua Santa Clara (parallel street to our own and where ex-blipper and friend Briocarioca used to live) and Rua Decio Velares. We always enjoy seeing how green the city is and looking at the mishmash of architecture and noting any new builds.
A walk along the front and a delicious late lunch feijoada in Hera, near the Hotel Emiliano. We’ve been here before and it always delivers. This was the best feijoada in terms of right quantity (although still left with a doggy bag to give away, despite having a half one between us!) and we had fried bananas as an extra. This may be our replacement for our old Bar 420. See extra for Copacabana front pics.
A stop at Caffeina on their terrace for some Yahtzee and then some more episodes of Monster at home.
