New garden

Farming friends who have moved into a barn conversion on their property, not the sort with beams but a kind of post industrial cattle shed,  have now been there long enough for the garden to have done a full year.  On the shallowest of top soil (too expensive) Anne has created the beginnings of a lovely garden.  Dahlias in huge old water tanks, giant grasses and banks of white hydrangeas. It’s very lovely and only going to get better

Busy day, Pilates followed by going over to Mum to see her and Patty (she’s back) and then tea with Anne who lives in the same village.

Cooked a good dinner from Diana Henry, the chicken olive and orange roast.  And watched some more of The Assassin as we’re seeing one of the cast next weekend so we have to get ahead!
