Not Autumn

This is one of two shrubs which is suffering from lack of rain, I don’t know whether they will recover.

Some disappointing news this afternoon. We thought our front wall/garden was being repaired this week but another delay which was fully explained with a visit. He offered the deposit back and find someone else or wait until he sorts out his problems with contractors. If the work wasn’t onto public pavement and did not involve very large rocks he would do the job himself but this is not sensible. It would take a few more weeks to find someone else and start all over again so we will wait. This chap is so nice to deal with, he is Polish and has just returned from Poland leaving his family thinking he would be starting the work here, now he will go back and bring them home.
