Gone Fishin'

A quick blip from Pettycur Harbour this afternoon.

I said I'd report on the sow-thistle flowers. I have been looking at two species over the last few days:
Smooth Sowthistle, Sonchus oleraceus and
Prickly Sowthistle, Sonchus asper

Both seem to react in the same way as Goatsbeard (Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon).
They are always open first thing in the morning, regardless of the weather and they close up by 1pm. The same flower opens on successive days for about 3 in a row.

NB, There just happens to be a species of Sonchus in the foreground of today's blip.
