Scarborough with the family

Up for Woodlands parkrun in Scarborough.  Completed by all 4 of us. An out and back course on good paths  (mostly tarmac) and lots of opportunity to praise the runners and walkers in the opposite direction. I was delighted to hear a runner just behind me who obviously enjoyed handing out praise too, so we chorused our 'well done runners' as we maintained our steady pace. Such fun!  I managed an official time of 31:16 ... fastest of the season, so I was chuffed! Also proud of my 2 ... they both ran the whole course. G made friends with a 'parkwalker', so we all had a good parkrun. 

Post parkrun we made the most of being in Scarborough and called into a cafe with a seaview for breakfast before going for a lovely walk along the seafront, a chance to recall past holiday adventures and enjoy the spectacular views. 

Then home to Filey to change and into the sea for a swim. Surfing waves did not deter us as we waded past the breaking water to the quieter sea beyond for a lovely swim in Filey Bay ... heavenly.

Then, tired, we relaxed on the sand (Cno1 painted the scene) before heading into town for a fish and chip restaurant -delicious. Home to make wedding day and Hen-do plans.

A busy, perfect,  family day ... to count our blessings.
