Home!
We aimed to be on the road for nine, and were away by nine-thirty. Not too bad.
The junction where the A3 meets the M25 was closed, so we took a scenic route through Esher and Weybridge before we reached the orbital, and left that quite promptly for the M40.
After which we didn't have a bad run, arriving in Salford just after two o'clock.
We unloaded the car and then the Minx decided that she wanted to do some weeding, so I went to get my haircut, taking this shot of the fountain in Albert Bentley Place as I passed, and then I met with Yoss for a couple of beers and a catch up.
The Minx and I spent the evening in the freshly weeded garden. She has created a wonderful space at the far end, with some seats surrounding a fire pit.
We drank wine, ate takeaway curry, and read our books. It's good to be home!
