Sally Mair - Loving life

Safe home

Thanks for all your lovely comments about our holiday. We had a great time, but it's good to be home
We took the tram to the Gyle from the airport (Edinburgh residents old fogey bus passes are great for that) and Katy and the girls picked us up and brought us home which was great.
We were 25 minutes late taking off and touching down but were through security and on the tram within 50 minutes of landing so that wasn't bad.
Lots of washing is done and Katy had brought us some basics so we're well set up and off for an early night.
I picked some of my(rather sparse) sweet peas this afternoon just in case the wind wipes them out tomorrow. The lounge smells lovely as a result.
The runner beans are looking good and there are lots of beautifully ripe blueberries on my ghost covered plant!
Hopefully the worst of the wind will be over before Ali & co's flight arrives back at after midnight tomorrow night.
My blip today is of the waterlily in my baby bath frog pond it's a wonderful deep pink colour. I don't think it's flowered before. In the other pond, there are two more buds on the white water lily, that makes 12 I think and the leaves are standing so tall they are holding the pondnet up like a tent.
Nice to be home and to have a short time to breathe before moving full on into our new Rector's Institution service.
