Abandoned

I don't know whether 'Kenny' owned this van but it's not going anywhere soon. Of course, Kenny may have 'tagged' the van when nosing around the former nursery site. This is in the road that runs parallel to the rear of ours and I must confess I've looked round the abandoned nursery myself in the past. I have not seen this sorry looking van before, though.

I can't remember when the nursery closed but it will have been several years ago. Unsurprisingly, as a site that had been in commercial use, there are planning applications being pursued for its redevelopment as housing with two alternatives, for 15 and 30 dwellings, proposed. It is the density of the proposed development that had been the sticking point so far. Even just 15 dwellings would significantly increase the traffic volume on an already busy single carriageway country road. We shall see....

All this today against the background of TMS coverage of the amazing 4th day of the final Test Match. Agonisingly, rain stopped play when the result was still in balance. An hour's play should see it settled one way or another tomorrow
