This chunk of technology is a new electricity meter. Not the most exciting new piece of kit but it prompted a massive cleanup in the cellar so the engineer could get in to install it.

Million’s of older ‘smart’ meters stopped being smart and sending data to the utility companies. Ours was one of them.
