Arctic Tern

A trip to North Ronaldsay. I saw nothing too unusual bird-wise on my cycle around. A flock of about 50 Arctic terns on the shore of South Bay held quite a lot of young birds, which was nice to see. Flocks of golden plover were arriving from the north. Waders are leaving their breeding grounds in the far north and moving south. Some will go a lot further south than Orkney. An adult Arctic tern as extra.
