One man and his dog

We played “dodge the rain” this morning, even managing to trim the conifer hedge between showers. Car loaded with dogs and 4 bags of trimmings, we made a brief stop at the tip before driving to the shelter of the woods. The tree canopy kept us dry enough. It’s too warm for waterproofs. Piggy paddled in a clay pond resulting in a shower being necessary back at home.

Martin and I went for a wander round Heathfield and a bargain lunch in the Co-op cafe. After stocking up in the pet shop with dog shampoo and bird food, we headed home for a lazy afternoon on the sofa with a book.
