Life is a Challenge!

A GREAT BLIPMEET!

I have been a Blip friend of Pam - Turnx3 - for many years now - looking back through my photographs, certainly for well over 10 years, as the first phoographs I have of us together are back in June 2015.

We have kept in touch each time Pam and her husband, Roger, have come over to the UK from the US and we have had several Blipmeets, so when Pam emailed me at the end of July to say they would be visiting relatives about 30 miles from where we live and wondered if we could meet up, Mr. HCB and I were definitely up for it.

Pam and Roger offered to take us out for lunch, but having looked around the various establishments and seeing what was on offer, I decided that I would rather do lunch for us all at our house, so they duly arrived at 11 o’clock for coffee, followed by lunch at 12.30.

We have had a great time together and covered many subjects in our chats, including schools, teachers, jobs, tattoos, books we were reading, being retired, their recent holiday to Iceland, children and a family wedding when Pam and Roger’s daughter gets married in September.

I think I acquitted myself well in the lunch stakes and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  So here we all are, in our garden - between rain storms - and apart from a separate photograph of Pam and Roger, this is the only one I took - well, I took several similar shots and this is the best!

I apologise for not commenting yesterday but I was a “Twicer” at Church and was tired when I got home.

It’s been a grey and stormy day today, and very windy, although probably not as windy as some parts of the UK - hope everyone has stayed safe.  M xx
