Young Female Kestrel …
… on my walk today, wandering a wild area off the beaten track between two sessions of observing the Golden Eaglet I have been watching grow up over the last 6 weeks. I didn’t think I would see it again after last week. It looked already huge. However, today, it was still on the nest. In my second session I had just set up my tripod and one of the parents flew in with a rather large tasty morsel for the eaglet! (Extra). I’m sure next week I won’t see it!
Since then, I’ve been introducing myself, and the yoga room, to a new student who will join a class in September, then we’ve been talking to someone about a potential cat sit in October. I hope they accept as I immediately warmed to her.
Thank you so much for your generosity yesterday for the Silver-Washed Fritillary!
