Not a rose

Quite a bit of time has been spent today in the loft room, continuing my grand clearing out and re-organising of all the items stored up there. We are fortunate enough to have a proper carpeted staircase leading up to it, for which I’m very grateful, but the stairs are narrow and very steep, so my legs are now protesting after having made several journeys up and down.

Rather than bore you with a photo of the newly tidied and moth-proofed room, I give you instead a solitary hazelnut hanging from our twisted hazel tree. Not a stunningly interesting photo, but at least it’s not yet another rose …
