Progress

This morning I succeeded in removing all the protruding nails from the attic stairs. I used the angle grinder for the first few, but I went through three blades, and didn’t like using it. Fortunately, working the nails with a pair of pliers until they broke proved very effective – although it was hard work. I then cut out the top treads, blundering when I tried to use the claw hammer against the “board” near the top that provides the angled part of the ceiling in the bedroom. It was only plasterboard, and I went right through it. So, another little job - for later!

I'd missed the end of the Turf round, but Hodge was haring around Penicuik so I joined him for a few, and we had a chat here at HolyMungo. In the afternoon I was distracted by the test match until I did the shopping and made tea.
