On Lantern Hill
Today started out very rainy and grim. We were meeting my old workfriend Sarah - and her husband and son - for lunch (they're staying near Minehead on holiday), and it seemed like a sad way to show them Ilfracombe. But after a lovely long lunch at the Lime Kiln Cafe, we came outside and the sun was just trying to break through. Tim headed home at this point, as he's got the start of a chest infection (he started on his antibiotics today) - but I had a lovely - ultimately sunny - walk around the harbour with Sarah, John and Rowan, up onto Lantern Hill, back over to Joey's for ice creams, and around Capstone Parade. I bid them farewell at that point, and had a nice walk back home, via Granville Point. Such a lovely day, and so nice to catch up with Sarah again :)
Had a bit of a rest when I got in, then Tim and I played poker again, which was fun. We were both too stuffed for dinner, so just ended up having toast and snacky bits. Watched the new David Attenborough 'Parenthood' in the evening - lovely (apart from the spiders!!)
