A Life in the Day of a Photographer – Monday

If you’re a regular reader here, you already know this: I love Mondays.
There’s just something about them — the start of a fresh week, all the possibilities wide open. After a weekend that’s usually filled with weddings or some kind of DIY (either around the house or in my head), I love sitting down at my desk, coffee in hand, going through the images I’ve created over the past few days.

But today…
Today was a little trickier.

Why? Well, there’s a new addition to the household: Ziggy.
Ziggy is small, fluffy, adorable (like, ridiculously adorable), and he has decided that my Monday wasn’t going to go quite to plan.

Between dramatic leaps into the studio curtains (always during editing), surprise naps on my knees with that look that says “You’re not really going to move me, are you?”, and full-on lounging across my Wacom pad or keyboard… let’s just say productivity took a hit.

It’s very hard to tell him off. It’s even harder to move him. He’s just so darn cute.

So yes, this Monday was a little slower than usual…
But it was also full of purring and unexpected cuddles.
And honestly, there are worse ways to start the week.
