Queensferry Crossing

This is not a view of the Queensferry crossing over the river Forth that we normally see as we are usually driving over it but today after an overnight flight from Atlanta we took a bus from Edinburgh airport to a park and ride on the Fife side of the river to meet friends.
These days cars are not allowed to use the old Forth Bridge but buses are so I took the  photo from the bus.

We had a fairly wild arrival as Storm Floris was picking up strength and the wind was howling . I have great respect for these pilots that can land large jets in conditions like that.

As the afternoon went on the storm got stronger so I have added a photo of a rowan tree in a neighbour’s garden although it is difficult to truly convey the strength of the gusts.

Good to be safely home and having an early night.
