Our house guest from Lebanon

There is no substitute for reporting from a war zone than from someone who has lived through it. Our guest gave us a fascinating description of what it was really like. He also reminded us of just how stoic the Lebanese population are.
Meanwhile the summer storm Floris was benign down here but very severe across most of Scotland. We only had one squall that drenched the garden for 10 minutes before the sun came out again!
