So. Here We Are

Fawns on the Lawn

So I was outside, spraying myself with DEET before an early morning walk when I looked up and saw two fawns starring right at me. I suppose they were wondering what I was doing. Their mother was chomping her way through the weeds in what used to be next-door's vegetable patch. Something must have distracted them because they both looked away for a few moments - preferable to being stared at really.

We see these guys quite regularly and I'm glad I got a shot of them before they lose their spots. Deer are normally born in May, so these two must be getting on for three months old.
