Brough of Birsay

We spent our first day in Orkney going up the highest hill on Rousay before coming back to Mainland and going to Skara Brae, where the clouds disappeared. We have been a few times before but it is always good (even if you can’t go in the buildings any more. The extra is a view of House 8 (the eighth to be excavated) with Bay of Skaill beyond. We then went to the Brough of Birsay which is only accessible at low water and saw the birds. The blip is taken from the high point looking south towards Marwick Head.

Best on black.
