Soul Companion . . . Mary Chapin Carpenter

Big game in the neighbourhood today.  These two Kereru, native pigeon, have sat in these trees for most of the afternoon.  I could see them from my kitchen window.  They are on the hill behind Ann's house.  In the extra you can see new trees planted with cardboard protection and they are on the track I walk up on.  I walked up through Ann's garden to get my photo and found her sitting looking out at her view of the estuary.  She was having a break from weeding.
