Clench and Flick
This little crochet ball ( about the size of a clementine) was given to me by Tim at the weekend. He too, like me, has bouts of plantar fasciitis. Unlike me he is always buying gadgets to try and help it.
One of his latest purchases was two of these balls. They are filled with little pellets: can you remember the bean bags we had at school?
The principle is that you put the ball on the floor and try and pick it up with clenched toes then flick it as far as you can.
When he first got them he couldn’t even pick the ball up but he can do the full exercise now.
I could clench it straight away but l think that’s because of the ballet. Need to work on the flicking. I’ve seen similar exercises online where you have to try and pick up a silk handkerchief.
Tim did admit that he was giving me this ball because the thread is lose at the top and he knew l could sew it up.
Tagged it for TT, well the stitches are tiny.
