In between boarding fishing vessels around the coast, my son’s ship was involved in a training exercise with the coastguard’s team.
Needless to say this happening this morning and not during the recent storm.
He phoned to say they encountered gusts of 108mph yesterday offshore in the North Sea .
All quietened down now.
