The Feast Day of King Saint Oswald.

King, martyr.

Patron Saint of soldiers.

King Saint Oswald was known fir his love for his people, prayerfulness, moiety, meekness, and leadership at a very difficult time.

Many miracles are remembered concerning his life.

God helped him win battles and he had a vision of St Columba.

After he died monks in Lincolnshire only accepted his body for burial after they saw a column of light that shone from it.


Born 604, Northumbria.

Died : 5th August 642, Shropshire.

It is raining today, unsettling, wild and difficult to photograph flowers.

I do quite like the wind and how the plants are dancing.

I am cautious walking in the wind and as one who needs glasses to see clearly.

Jasper suddenly appeared in the garden at just the right time.

He knows how to use his head to gently open the greenhouse door.

It is sunny again now.

5pm or thereabouts, we saw a beautiful rainbow arc.
