Clear up

Our clear up has not been as bad as many, and we have not been affected by power cuts (many are still cut off), although the broadband has been a wee bit dodgy. When I did a peloton workout this afternoon, I twice had buffering on the app. If that happens again, I will have to start downloading the workouts. You then only need a minimal signal in order to start them.

Anyway, after breakfast and before my 9am call, I went out and did an initial sweep up at the front. Those are the leaves that have come off next door's trees. Better that than his trees coming down. On our house. Later on, I did another session with the sweeping brush, and the place is now looking quite tidy. We've even managed to rescue the sweet peas so we'll get a few more flowers off them, I hope. It's been a day with a bit of weather for everyone, as they say - some sun, a fair bit of wind, and occasional rain showers, although not since about lunchtime. In the end, the afternoon was excellent for drying washing and I got two loads washed and dried today.

We also popped out to Piper's and then the supermarket, and a man came round to review the space where we want the shed base built. It'll be a bit tight, but we'll manage it. He seemed fine, as does the decorator who sent me a photograph of the materials he's bought for the purposes of painting the windows inside and out. We're making a bit of progress.

Work also happened, but maybe with not quite the laser focus as it does sometimes....
