I'm baking Today

An almond  cake is in the oven, I am thinking, this might not be enough for my party, although ladies these days don't each much cake anymore..... I have invited a few friends for a Kaffeeklatsch later this week.
My mother always said you cannot bake a plum cake if you don't have the right kind: Zwetschgen or here it would be called Japanese plums. They hardly have them here, so for years I always use whatever kind of plums is available and with a lot of whipped cream I love it,  my favorite cake.
