Dolly's Day

Common Hogweed seeds

THE parcel didn't arrive this morning.... I never really believed it would.  I didn't phone Royal Mail about it as I'm sure I would have been told to wait as there was still a chance it would come today.  I was too busy later in the day to phone so that's one job I will have to do tomorrow. Seems pointless phoning up as the other 3 times Ive phoned they have promised delivery and nothing has turned up.  But I will give it another go.

I had an appointment at 2.10pm........ a phone appointment booked from the Eye Clinic in the Metrocentre to give me the result of the glaucaoma tests I had last Friday.   Phone rang at 2.40pm -- it was one of the doctors at the Eye Clinic who had no idea why he was supposed to be phoning me.  After I explained he checked and then said the scan results weren't available.  And he suspected there was "  a glitch in the system " as another result from Friday for another lady was also missing. He is going to try and sort things out and I should get a phone call from the clinic in the next few days giving me the date/time of another phone appointment when he will let me know my result.  ( Im starting to get the feeling that things just aren't going my way at the moment.)

Around 3.15pm I headed to the bus stop to get a bus down to Swalwell... I had my weekly appointment at Blaydon Primary Care centre for my leg ulcer.  Bus was 10 mins late .  After a short walk in Swalwell I got another bus to the Care Centre ( I usually walk but I couldn't be bothered today ).

Saw another different nurse.  This one was lovely.  Very kind. practical and knowledgeable.  She seemed very positive after taking the bandages off and seeing the ulcer.  I have been in a lot of pain and discomfort with it but she said she thought it was healing well.  She cleaned it ( very painful ) and put a silver dressing on before putting on a new set of compression bandages from my toes to my knee.  She added an extra layer of padded material for comfort.  This extra layer made it very difficult for me to get my shoe back on but after loosening the laces and doing a bit of maneuvering I did manage to get the shoe on.

Next I got a bus to the Metrocentre.  My bus home wasn't due for a while so I popped into Savers and Poundland for a few bits before coming home.

It was another dry and windy day but not as windy as yesterday.

The Tiny Tuesday challenge is ‘In nature’ .  Ive blipped some small Common Hogweed seeds ( I think that's what they are ).  Thanks to ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie for hosting.
